I'll be fishing the area Saturday for the first time. Anyone fish there lately or have any advice on decent spots to hit while I'm out there? I'll be fishing out of a Tracker

It's going to be a bit windy this weekend. If you're fishing a tracker, you're going to have to stay in the marsh and bays. find clean water and fish it.

That's the plan so far. Definitely not going too far out in the Tracker.

Go by the Reel Inn and talk to Travis. He might be willing to share some info with you.

if we have the time we go get them at cocodrie. There is a boat on the coast you can buy from, just hope you get there early.

we usually stay west. Is it usually a mad house to get them? I imagine all those boats from Cocodrie could make for a good wait.

Also how much? and do they sell croaker?

He's closer to Dularge than he is to Cocodrie. If you leave right before daylight it shouldn't be a problem, but there is usually a line of 10-20 boats.

Not sure on the price right now but I'd say .20-.30 cents a piece maybe. Usually croakers and shrimp we pay around $60 for, but it's convenient so it's worth it.

I have been there but it was years ago. Really sucks watching people catch one every cast with live shrimp

We went down to Dulac this weekend. Had a 5 man limit of trout on Saturday. Ran into the birds in the marsh, and Mardi Gras rig was on fire. The shrimp season opens tomorrow so live shrimp should be more accessible.
