Best Local Baseball TV Broadcast

Watching Nats vs Mets and always thought SNY had the best local TV announce team/broadcast mainly because Darling is so good.
But they also have a very "alive" non boring broadcast. Seems the crowd is really mic'd well too giving it good energy. Some local TV broadcasts are only good for a nap.
Ranked broadcasts I see regularly.
1. Mets
2. Red Sox - Remy and Orsillo had unbelieveable chemistry but O'Brien is a great replacement.
3. Texas Rangers - Their Play By Play guy is good, but the color guy is atrocious.
4. Yankees - extremely boring broadcast by Michael Kay. Also has no energy, probably because every time I watch there's 500 empty seats behind home plate.
5. Houston Astros - just an all together boring broadcast. There's no juice in that booth.
Dodgers - basically in a category on its own because of Scully. It's somewhat boring because of no Color guy, but he's too good not to watch.

I love the Cardinals guys on FSMW. I can't stand it when the guys are HUGE homers and our guys aren't very big homers IMO.
Personal preference thing and of course I'm massively biased but those are my thoughts
Can't stand the Braves guys

Dodgers
Everybody else.
And I'm a Cardinals' fan.
Jon Miller & Dick Enberg get a shout-out.

How in God's name do you miss Vin Scully?

Read the entire post, I also forgot the Braves… by far the worst I've seen, by far.

30. Chicago White Sox games with Hawk. The man needs to retire.

Because he is way overrated

Yea you can't beat Scully, no doubt

I personally have found the Rangers team gives me ear cancer. Mets is great though

I refuse to watch White Sox's games

When the Yankees have Singleton and Cone on the broadcasts, they are much better. Plus, the dugout reporter fine too.
Does Bill Brown still do Astros telecasts? I believe Tom Grieve is Rangers color guy.

Brownie does home games
Ashby and Geoff Blum do away games. They are more weird than bad I would say

Mets, Giants, and Blue Jays are great. Nationals, White sox, and Reds are garbage

Brown is very boring. When he was teamed with DeShaies Astros telecasts were impossible to watch.

I don't understand how Tom Grieve is still on the Rangers broadcast. Wasn't he with the front office or something 30 yrs ago? He must have pictures of the owner with a donkey...he should have been replaced years ago, he has no energy and is one of the worst non-baseball ad lib announcers I've ever seen. It seems he has no understanding of the culture outside of baseball.

I think Deshaies was fantastic and would give anything to have him back in the booth in Houston. Haven't listened to him since he's moved to Chicago but can't imagine it's bad

Here's one of the many reasons why people in New England were so pissed when they fired Orsillo. He and Remy were as good as it got when things got awkward.
Remy - Oops Boob Grab
There tons more clips of them in similar instances.

They are phasing out Hawk. He mostly does just the road games now. The new guy is a lot better and he and Stone go well together.

For the life of me I don't understand why Milwaukee doesn't use Uecker for their tv broadcasts. It seems like such a waste that people around the country can't hear him during Brewers game.

Jason Benetti, he did some college football and basketball for ESPN. He's a native South Sider and used to be an intern on the longest running sports radio show in Chicago. Great voice and has been a breath of fresh air over Hawk. And Stone doesn't sound like he wants to kill himself anymore.
