So, has anyone not paid a camera ticket in NOLA?

Any consequences? Other than the double boot of course. I'm thinking about getting a new license plate and telling the city to get fricked.

Nothing will happen. If you don't pay they will turn it over to a collections agency and may go on your credit report. However, you call the credit reporting company to dispute the credit because you never entered into an agreement to pay the debt nor was is imposed by the courts so legally you are not responsible for it.

Just keep an eye on your credit reports and make sure to call to get it removed from your report if you're interested in your credit score.

Well did you run a red light?

Seems to me you would need to act accordingly.

It was a speeding ticket. I was heading east on Harrison Ave where the speed limit is 35. I crossed Marconi, and pulled over to the side because I got a phone call. I had to head back the way I came, and got popped by the camera because apparently the speed limit is 25mph heading west on Harrison even though its 35 heading east. fricking extortion is what it is.

I probably have 20 camera tickets now. They all go straight to the trash. I don't even open them anymore. You just have to figure out how to park so you don't get booted

Never pay camera tickets. They are sent to you from a private entity and have nothing to do with municipal, parish, or state law enforcement.

How do you do that? I got a camera ticket in N. O. a few years ago, and haven't paid. I always park in a parking garage when I go there, and haven't been booted yet.

That's awesome!

I see people get booted all the time now. Are those double boots from parking or camera tickets?

There's about 50 different threads on this if you search. Might have more info in them.

I'm sure that would be a violation of the FCRA

my last boot fee was over $400. It really ruins your night/day.

Got hit after Jazz Fest once, then after Boudin, Bourbon and Beer. total mood killer. Just pay em
