All of My Love - Led Zeppelin
Trampled Underfoot is a close second

I agree that All Of My Love was terrible, but it got a crapload of airplay, and that was the intended radio song from that album.
That song was all about winning girls over to the heavier music. That song was bait, and it worked pretty well.

To me, there isn't much to brag about on Presence and In Through the Out Door. Those albums were meh.

That's a fair assessment. It still sucks. One thing it does have going for it, though, is that it's very ahead of its time. It sounds like it came out at least 5-10 years later than it did. It really is almost as groundbreaking as "Communication Breakdown" in that respect.

Don't get me wrong. All three of those songs are very complex and well conceived musically. But when they turn Paul loose with the lyrics, the end result is often a pile of silliness. Compared to most of the Help! album, these songs just don't stack up/

IMO, Presence is one of their finest records.

That song, set up the success of metal in the mid Eighties IMO, That was a huge time for radio.
Think about this..at the time you could turn on your radio and hear something Led Zepplin,Pink Floyd from The Wall, Sultans Of Swing From Dire Straits,Journey..then some crap from Foreigner or Loverboy
The incredible thing was, Foreigner and Loverboy probably sold the most records in that time frame.

I just listened to Louder Than Bombs by The Smiths, and I had forgotten how awesome the good songs were and how annoying the bad ones were. Sorry to go vague but that's all I got.

That song in honor of Plant's son, Karac, who died at 5 while he was on tour.

David Bowie is one of my favorites but when him and Mick sang "dancing in the street" it was unbelievable bad.

Well, I never knew what it was about..MTV wasn't invented yet,and a Marine Corps Private couldn't afford to buy Rolling Stone Magazine.
I can tell you how it sounded and the way it was produced,it didn't sound like a dirge, I can tell you that, and I never heard that story on the radio.
Not saying it's not true, but it's hard to imagine. From My standpoint,as a listener,a Picker,a writer,it sounds to be about a sexual relationship.
Oh yeah, I also can't believe Def Leppard is your favorite band..I mean, they are Ok and all...but your damn favorite? I think you are trolling for sure.

I honestly don't dislike any song by Alice in Chains.

High And Dry kicked arse. It was a great album top to bottom. By the time they got to Hysteria, they lost their edge IMO

dredg - The Tent
So fricking terrible. Dan the Automator should never have been allowed around a dredg album, and I like a lot of music he has done. I'm happy to hear they're working on new music. Maybe they can undo the damage done by Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy.
