NFL.com Power Ranking: Saints #30

Come on now. I'm not saying we should be top 10, but the third worst team in the league? I don't care how many TD's we gave up last year; any team with an elite QB is at least better than the 3rd worst

Oh boy ... don't particularly enjoy placing the Saints this low on the Power Rankings, but what do you do with a team that allowed 45 touchdowns through the air in 2015? New Orleans also allowed 476 points, and you can't tangle all of that in former coordinator Rob Ryan's hair. Yet, the club only drafted three players on defense (the Saints had the fewest picks overall with five). That said, teaming Cameron Jordan with first-rounder Sheldon Rankins makes this front formidable.

LSU with no QB would be at least 26th in the league.

Without looking at the rankings...................30 seems way off.

That's terrible...

The Raiders at #11 :rotflmao:

it does look like a lot of teams got better in the offseason, but Cleveland and Tennessee are a long way away from being formidable, and we're still ahead of Tampa and Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago, LA lost a lot of players, and gave up their whole draft for a QB. Dude's gonna have growing pains.

The Ringer employees and ESPN podcast people (Bill Barnwell) have been CRUSHING us.
On Barnwell's NFC draft/offseason podcast they actually just laughed at us and called us a complete joke basically. Completely dismissed and moved on, talked about pretty much every other team, even the Browns with respect. Absolutely pummeled us.
I'm kind of shocked, I think we will be much improved.

Jags and Raiders could be playoff teams next year.

Everyone's "hot take" this year to make the playoffs

#30.
We finished fricking 7-9. This is lol worthy.

I will personally out my TD account on the line to bet that the Oakland Raiders will not make the postseason this year. Book it

(just about) Every team every year looks like they get better. Very few take huge jumps one way or the other in w/l.
Also everyone likes to predict the rise of teams but rarely do they predict falls.
Last year espn had each blogger guess their teams w/l and added up the league was WELL over .500.

Idk they are in a weak division. 11 is too high though.

good - let them look at us that way - then when we have a decent season and surprise everyone, we can give them a nice big shitburger to eat.

Both of these teams should be decent. I think Jags will be better and probably win that division. I'd swap these two around myself. It's definitely not LOL worthy though

Thank you. My exact point. We see these predictions every year and they usually are wrong

Unless the qb shits the bed and costs them games they aren't better than the Broncos, and may or may not be on par with the Chiefs.
And every now and then the Chargers have a weirdly good season.
Oakland may be an 8 win team at best unless the Broncos and Chiefs fall of a cliff (which admittedly could happen). That doesn't make you the 11th best team most years.
