Took about 5 minutes to put together. I guess my point is this:

We traded away a 1st and 2nd round pick for Mark Ingram. Hill and Blue and possibly Ware could easily match Ingrams production. Choose Vacarro over Reid. We trade up for CB's or LB's when LSU has the same caliber or better that could fall into our lap. Traded up for Cooks and gave away a 1st and 3rd round pick . When we could have had Jarvis and Trai with those. Just a lot of moves that don't work out that the saint could address an hour from home.

This one bothers me the most....Why take a short stubby safety who sucks in coverage over a taller more athletic play maker who doesn't suck in coverage. But the saints do not draft LSU players and they have the best scoop available.

What about the time we traded up for Al Woods? That worked out well.

If you want to say that the team's drafting has been sub par the last 5 years, join the club. If you want to say they should have drafted LSU players because LSU, locality should only be used as a tie breaker between genuinely equivalent prospects. Other than that it shouldn't even be a consideration.

Not to mention that they weren't in the same draft class, nor were our needs the same when they came out
