I'm an adventurous eater and enjoy watching Zimmern eating funky foods. Is there any area restaurants that serves weird stuff?

A lot of places serve some kind of weird bug critter. They boil them first. I think they're aquatic. They're all bright red and gross-looking.

Those coonasses must have been some hungry people to figure out you could eat that.

N7 has canned eels on the menu. What do you consider "bizarre"?

When I lived in NO I was always intrigued by the Ethiopian joint on Magazine. Never went though.

Go to Ville Platte and get a ponce -- I think most would consider that to be pretty weird

Also Johnny Sanchez in New Orleans serves the chapulines (grasshoppers)

If you consider sweetbreads bizarre Toup's does a sweetbread poutine that is outrageously delicious. It will take a couple of years off your life, but live well and leave a good looking corpse.

Didn't he do a Bizarre Foods in south louisiana? You should watch that and then go try to find some mullet roe.
