Anyone who says Gus's sucks or isn't the best cannot be taken seriously when it comes to taste. I've eaten all of the so-called "best" fried chicken joints from Willie Mae's to Lorman Country Store to Yardbird to Uncle Lou's and everything in between, and none of them compare to Gus's, and it's real...

Go to Ville Platte and get a ponce -- I think most would consider that to be pretty weird
Also Johnny Sanchez in New Orleans serves the chapulines (grasshoppers)...

I like Central, BBQ Shop, and Germantown Commissary the best.
Gus's trumps all, though. Uncle Lou's is also very good for "dipped" chicken....

Put liquid heat over a kid's back in Jr. high when we were in the locker room getting dressed for PE. He spent the entire afternoon in the nurse's office. But since I was considered a "good" kid I wasn't punished at all. Me just being stupid, trying to show off or impress others. Douche....
