I'll go ahead and say it. It's amazing. If the numbers were reversed between Black and White suicide rates, people would be screaming all over the place. Instead, it's a footnote. The white male suicide rates are staggering.

Exactly. Something needs to be done about this. Mental health can't keep taking a backseat. Every mass shooting you briefly hear about how the person was mentally ill, then it's nonstop "gun control, gun control, gun control" talk. And the real issue...mental health is conveniently pushed aside.

I would guess the rise in suicides in girls 10 to 14 is mostly due to social media bullying. Imagine being 12-13 years old all over again. Being so painfully awkward that others made fun of you. And then add in that the teasing is now 24/7 cause it's done online and isn't just limited to the mean girls at your school....it's from everyone, including strangers you have never met. It's no wonder some of these poor children just snap and feel so hopeless that suicide seems to be the only way out for them.

I disagree, since if they really cared about black people's mental health, then they would have long stepped in. All they care about is headlines and that their historical subjugators are involved. If it's a black kid killing another, they don't give a frick. It's all about some outside force they can't control ruining them instead of calling them out on their own bullshite.
