Wow I'll miss my local Cabelas store if they shut it down. Have heard before they were considering it to be a ups shipping hub. Maybe I can pick up a 24' ranger bay at 50% off in the transition.
I remember they had a large initial construction cost paid forform state / local Govt to build and believe tax differed for assist period also.

hmmm, I have a Cabelas Club Visa, wonder how that will be affected
Posted on 10/3/16 at 8:56 am to misterc
Well shite. Bass pro is not even in the same ball park as Cabelas.
Posted on 10/3/16 at 9:10 am to misterc
Well this sucks. Hopefully they don't change Cabelas line of hunting gear.
Posted on 10/3/16 at 9:37 am to wickowick
Well fudggggge. Cabelas seems more of a true outfitter to me rather than the tourist destination feel of BP.
This flat out sucks

how is cabelas as far as waterfowling gear?
I like Cabelas brand gear for waterfowl. I have never been to Cabelas in BR though. I order it online and Cabelas brand strikes me as much better made and durable versus bass pro.

This sucks. I assume that Bass Pro will rebrand all the Cabelas stores and even worse for us up here in Nebraska, they will shut down the offices in Lincoln and out in Sidney. And once the office in Sidney goes down, I assume they kill off the store as well, and that town will die a swift death like many other towns out in Western Nebraska have.

Bass Pro Shops said it plans to maintain Cabela's operations in Sidney and Lincoln, Neb. "and hopes to continue the very favorable connections to those communities and the Cabela’s team members residing there."

Perhaps for 6 months to a year, but not long term..
Posted on 10/3/16 at 10:09 am to tunechi
I dont buy that. Why are they gonna maintain operations in 3 locations when they can just consolidate it all in MO?
Posted on 10/3/16 at 10:09 am to tunechi
Heard talk the Cabelas would be rebranded and the BPS will be shuttered due to population shite out of area from the flood. This is preliminary and nothing is set in stone but analyst reports are expected to be finished by 1st quarter. Gonzales store sales have plummeted
Posted on 10/3/16 at 10:11 am to TigersHuskers
Of course it will be consolidated unless government pays to keep some of those offices in that state
Posted on 10/3/16 at 11:10 am to AlxTgr
Bass pro is the Walmart of outdoor stores. Cheap crap. This sucks
Posted on 10/3/16 at 11:11 am to shawnlsu
They need a mid range brand
Posted on 10/3/16 at 11:26 am to wickowick
I said this about cabelas. I never bought anything cause it was expensive
