You honestly think most people would grow their own? You can grow tomatoes at home but motherfrickers still go to the grocery store for produce.
Unless you're trolling. I can't tell.

Do you have any idea how much effort and money it takes to grow decent weed? 95% of smokers would not grow.

I'm not trolling.
Honest question. What would happen to prices if regulated and taxed?
I have no idea what drugs cost.

I do not understand why this is such a big deal to people. Literally seems all people under 40 care about is dope ring legal. That stupid new millennial network only talks about weed and the selling of weed.

This is pure stupidity.
If decriminalization occurred, people would grow their own and no taxes would be generated.
You fricker have fired your brains
I hate when people say this. You guys act like you throw some seeds in the ground and you get high end shite. In reality it just shows how out of touch you are. Sure SOME people will grow, just like some people homebrew. Most people will buy it at stores so they can get different strains varieties and what have you. It's not Mexican dirt anymore, they have hundreds or thousands of choices now. It would suck to grow a whole bunch of Raspberry AK plants and then find out you only like Bubblegum kush.
So the only pure stupidity was your post.

They pay less for weed at a store in Colorado, than someone here in Louisiana would pay for similar or lessor quality.

I really don't care if taxes are generated, but people in general aren't growing their own. They're allowing pot cafes here in town, no reason to grow your own.

My mom and brother went to your neck of the woods, and going through the pictures they have makes me want to go even more. Places like Alaska, Colorado Washington. They already had green tourism. Now they are just going to have a different type of green tourism, but they will still have both types for sure. I saw some allude that Colorado and others don't want national legalization.

When I was at LSU we found a patch of semi-wild wild ganja that some kind soul had planted behind Power Hall and it got us seriously baked.

Not a day goes by that I don't feel in awe. The southeast is the best part of the State.

I've had this conversation with many friends and even my wife. I personally am against it and they were for it. After in depth open minded conversation on both sides we all agreed it was better left alone as an illegal substance.
The major factor concluded was that as a whole on society, it was negative. Now as you can imagine, this conversation went on for some time and to convey the logic on both sides would take more that I'm willing to write. In comparison, we all also agreed that liquor was negative on society. I'm an avid drinker and can rationalize much more on that side and would even go as far as to say it should have never been legalized after prohibition. I think our country and families throughout would be in better places. Just a thought, each to their own at the end of the day.

My belief is that the drug laws make us more unsafe and socially unstable. Prohibition is more damaging to society than legalization

Troll? or.... no
I'll clearly have to disagree with that. But, if I lived in Alaska I'd be more worried about a wolf getting my son in the front yard instead of a neighborhood crack head.
