I think this would be a huge hire with all the young raw talent on their roster

Wolves are also scheduled to interview Jeff Van Gundy, the former Knicks coach who is now an analyst for ESPN, on Monday. The team previously interviewed former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau over the weekend.

It'd most likely be a repeat of his time GSW They'll be average to above average and then they'll peak when he gets fired

WTF. Give me Tom Thibodeau...please. We have been to the Western Conference Finals once in 25 years. Give us someone who can manage the talent we do have.

I think there's a few different levels to NBA coaches. Some coaches just plain suck. Others are good for getting young teams to mature into competitors. Other coaches are good for getting competitors to elite status. I'd put Mark Jackson in the middle category.

This. To be fair Marc Jackson never gets the credit he deserves for turning the GSW ship around and headed in the right direction. I think people forget that the main reason he was let go was because of his inability to play nice with the front office.

I remember it like it was yesterday. his very first coaching game was the lock out short season on Christmas night. io think they played the clippers.; i remember thinking why teh hell they showing a warriors game no one want to see that shite lol they sucked dog dick for so long. and like, they didn't' suck anymore lol.
As good as the warriors are now, they were just as bad, for a very, very, very long time. Until Mark Jackson came along

Or that he was an absolute crazy person who believes in demons.

A little bit. But that's beneficial for young players. He can cultivate that "us against the world" atmosphere better than most. But at some point you have to at least give the illusion of respect for the suits. Management is eventually going to insist on taking credit for the team improving and the most successful coaches work well with both sides, players and management.

GS had talent before and they were never really able to be anything more than a entertaining small ball team
Webber, Hardaway, Mullin, Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis.

This is a crushing blow to all of us that chose the Wolves over the Celtics in that other thread

Seeing stuff like this makes me even more angry that the Pels fricked up and hired Gentry.

Hopefully this goes the Stan Van Gundy way for Thibs.

I am a very happy Wolves fan right now, I was nervous about the Jackson interview since the Wolves always seem to screw it up but they finally did it all the right way.
Can't wait to see Thibs work with Wiggins and KAT.
