Looks like the console is becoming a PC without a piece by piece upgrade ability. The pace of changing tech will no longer support 3 to 5 years between consoles.

Phil Spencer hinted at something like this. Feels like that would really be the only right direction to go if this is going to become a more standard practice.

What does this even mean? PS4 mode gonna basically be like playing a PC game on low/medium quality?

how is this really much diff than what they did with ps, ps2 then ps3? They had several versions of each. Hell they even came out with one called PSone.
