Headed to Gulf Shores this week (metal detecting related)

have begun dabbling in metal detecting lately and would like to take it with me to play around with. are their any laws/rules i should know about before i bring it on the beach with me?

actually, I think you have to wear socks with sandals if you are a metal detector. That is their call sign. Don't forget to put whiteout on your nose.

I think it depends on what merit badges you have
2 yrs apprentice-ship is what I was told you needed before you can roll with the black socks and tevas
until then you are only allowed shorts pulled up to the armpit and a tommy Bahama shirt
OP if you find a Spanish dubloon rick at pawnstars will buy it but he'll need to bring in an expert first. Don't fall for it

What are you looking for? Things people dropped or things that have washed in? If the latter, go down to Fort Morgan to find some desolate beach areas.
