Google Fi is

quote:

Our plan starts with the Fi Basics for $20 per month, which includes: unlimited domestic talk and text, unlimited international texts, ability to use your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and coverage in 120+ countries.

It's always $10 per GB for data. $10 for 1GB, $20 for 2GB, $30 for 3GB and so on. That's it. With no annual contract required.

So for $30 you get unlimited text domestic and international and talk along with 1GB of data.

Cricket Wireless

quote:

unlimited domestic talk and text

2.5 GB of 4G LTE

Let's look at service. Fi is based on TMO and Sprint. Those networks are pure trash. Cricket is based on AT&T. Which in my experience is very good. I've had AT&T in the past with no problems and I'm currently on VZW. Available devices on Cricket vs Fi is also a plus for Cricket.

Please explain to me the allure of Fi and why I should go that route instead of Cricket?

Because AT&T had zero service at my house, auto connect to wifi, and wifi calling / connection with Google services

P.S: my bill has also been less than $30 a month thanks to saving data in many different ways

I think AT&T limits cricket to 8mbps. Also when there is congestion cricket customers are the first to get throttled down to nothing.

Also on cricket you get throttled down to nothing after you hit your high speed allowance. Fi never throttles, and if you watch your data usage you get a refund.

Left AT&T for Fi, and have moved from Florida to Texas...I haven't seen a single difference in coverage in either state.
