Given that he learned yesterday that he is not "coming home", and that he really was not that welcome anyway.......

1.) Still throwing up from drinking too much yesterday afternoon

2.) In deep state of depression knowing that the rednecks of Alabama and he will now actually be picking out furniture for the next couple of years

3.) Admitted to the psy ward last night after trying to jump off of the top of Bear Bryant's statue

4.) Getting Jimmy Sexton to contact Michigan

5.) Realizing that he has nowhere else to go

Who cares? The fact that Saban wanted to return to Baton Rouge and and can't makes me happy. It makes me even happier that Les Miles is the LSU coach who is standing in his way. Arrogance and dishonesty will eventually be a man's undoing.

Young man, I get the impression that I have been around a longer than you. In my professional background, I have seen more than you probably ever will, and if you did, you would probably wind up in a fetal position in the corner of a dark room talking to yourself. First of all, my post was out of jest. I am having a good time like the rest of you. When I disagree with someone, I don't have a need to question their intelligence or maturity although in some cases it would perhaps be warranted. However, I try to keep in mind that they are also trying to enjoy themselves as well.

I have seen the problems that ensue with bringing back a former coach who bolted out. Paul D swore that he would not coach anywhere else but LSU and then bolted - by the way he won a national championship here prior to his departure. When he came back, it was admittedly as AD, but it got obvious very quickly that it was a bad idea. The guy actually made Joe Dean look half way decent and there were significant factions very divided during the entire time he was here. Long story short, bringing back "Pepsodent Paul" was a horrible mistake.

Saban made a mistake leaving here, but he did what he thought he had to do. Unfortunately, it backfired on him. In the process, I think he honestly regretted leaving LSU and would have loved to have had that move back. Even so, he would have wondered what could have been, if he had not taken the plunge to the NFL. However, it has been rather evident on occasion that he misses "home". Yet, we cannot always go home. Things would never be the same, and no there are a lot of people who would not be dancing in the streets, because they would be second guessing his motives and perhaps rightfully so.

I could go on and on, but long story short, perhaps you should consider being a little more respectful of the rights of others to their own opinions. It's not life and death, it's a chatboard where we can all discuss one of our favorite topics - LSU - a place that not only did I have to opportunity to take class work at many years ago, but also return to teach.

GO TIGERS!

counting his cash in his bank account and thinking to himself so this is how much it's worth to sell your soul.

OR

Crying that he now might be forced to complete a contract and if he fails at winning a national championship by next year irrational Alabama Boosters will be looking to ship him out of town.

Or

He doesn't give a crap about any of it because he has what he wants in total control and the largest contract of a current NCAA Coach

Looking for the keys to win the game so Bama does not go 6-7.

And planning his recruitment trips to North LA since he will be in Shreveport anyway.

and is THE reason LSU is in a position to play for its second national championship in five years after enjoying a 45-year drought without even sniffing one ...
