Dinardo is the only person to report the 3 contracts for Les scenario.

(1) link?
(2)
(3) I listened to him yesterday on ESPN Radio, he had some very interesting insight. Based on his comments I believe he has had some limited contact with the Michigan AD about what transpired.

What'd he say? Was he interviewed or is he still doing ESPN Radio?

it was College Gameday- Todd McShay et al from AZ.
Apparently, GerryD is working full time for the Big10 network, but still has ties from working for ESPNRadio.
A couple key points:
GerryD firmly, 100% believes from his sources within the Mich AD that they kept to their word in the fact that they actually were going to wait till after the game to talk to Les, and not say they were in public, but actually begining negotiations behind the scene. He then stated that LSU effectively backed Les into a corner and put the real heat on him to sign a contract extension knowing that he had indeed NOT spoken to Michigan. GerryD then took a little tiny subtle back-handed comment at LSU on how Michigan handled everything with professionalism and class.....LSU.....ehhhh, not so much.
He then compared Miles' comment to a press release that Herb Vincent had written for him years ago about DiNardo to Notre Dame. And then left the door open slightly for Miles' eventual exodus to UM. Of course, that was 2 hours before kickoff yesterday, and that seems to be sqaushed at this point

Hmmmmmmmmm...apparently he hasn't signed anything but I'd like to know the heat LSU put on him.
From what I read the past 24 hours or so is that Skip and the boys were giving Les the opportunity to talk with UM and and I feel had ESPN not reported what they did, he'd be meeting with them today or tomorrow and probably be gone.

as usual, I agree with you 100%. That is still the theory that I subscribe to.
C'mon, it's friggin DiNardo - take that for what it is.
If you remember, I said that ultimately, if Les leaves, it won't be about the money - and I still stand by that. But what I forgot to consider, is that if Les stays, it is about the money.

If LSU put a gun to Miles's head and said accept and announce...without anything being signed...i can't see this being over. I, or anyone else on the board, wouldn't just sit by and let the our dream job slip away.

I said it consistently last night. It's only over if we're in the MNC game, and only because we're playing in the MNC game. Absent that, nothing is really "done".

On one hand, DiNardo may be bitter about his firing form LSU still but on the other, he and Les are good friends and he may have talked to Les.
I don't think if Les left it was about the money, but about the commitment to him they were willing to make and support they were willing to give him and it being his alma mater.
On the other hand, if he stayed, I don't think it was for money either. I think maybe he felt they took him for granted and didn't feel they made a serious sale on him to be their coach. And/or he felt like him going up there, he'd be walking into a hornets nest with the Carr faction and the Carr assistant coaches he'd have to keep who might not be loyal to him. I thought his wife would be the deal breaker for him to go though.
There are so many twists and turns and scenarios....who knows. ESPN did screw his chances by indirectly or directly putting him in a dilemma forcing him to call a press conference to hush the talk and Lloyd Carr's camp may have been the folks who leaked it.

DiNardo was in Miles' wedding. They are close.

I agree with you on moving to the "hornets nest" theory. That had to weigh a ton on his mind! Would have been alot of (inhouse) tension for a while.

Dinardo was the OC at Colorado when Miles was there
basically I took it like Dinardo was acting as a Miles mouthpiece saying what Miles wanted him to say
which isnt necessarily a bad thing.
After the postgame PC with his wife and kids there and the things he said about being home at LSU, Miles isnt going anywhere
