Thx for all the advice - vehicle is an 05 Tacoma, if I go w/ LEDs are new projector housing necessary?

Thank you for that. Hopefully by the sound of the other responses people are getting away from being that guy.
shite burns my arse when people have Shitty HID kits in reflector housings blinding everyone around them with their blue lights.

A projector retrofit would be the best option, however you'd have to get someone to do it($$$) or do it yourself which can be quite a chore if you've never looked into it.
If you do just want to swap to LED bulbs (LED > HID) then make sure you re-aim them. Park about 50ft from a wall, turn on your lights and put a piece of tape where the top part of the cutoff is. Swap in the LED bulbs and adjust them so that the cutoff line is close to the tape line.
ETA: Don't bother with the cheap aftermarket headlights with the projectors already built in, most, if not all are total trash.
