I mean where you should live if you are sending your kids to private schools. Don't enroll kids in EBR public schools unless you want them to get stabbed or become drug dealers.

"Baton Rouge traffic isn't as bad as a city at least twice its size"

That's you. That's what you sound like when you say dumb shite.

Who did you piss off in your company? :prayerssent:

If my elderly father and my two kids weren't living here, I'd have bailed long ago. It's turned into a real POS place to live. And I used to love BR, born and raised, now I can't wait to leave.

Miami-Dade/Broward have about the population of the state of Louisiana

I've lived in Baton Rouge for 5 years. It's only really bad when the bridge has an accident. Besides that, it's like any other city during rush hour.

So you mean 4/5 days a week?

ETA: I drive from north of downtown to south of downtown every evening, and fairly often from west of BR back into town and both of those drives are complete cluster you know what's due to the horrible design and the insistence on keeping the never used Washington Street exit open.

Saying the whole city is bad is hyperbole. It's just that section of 10/12.

If public school is what you are looking for in no particular order I'd go with:

Zachary
Central
Ascension

All shitty places to live for sentient people. Bite the bullet and plan on private school then start looking in Baton Rouge proper.

It's really not. BR is awful. The I-10 is a parking lot. There's no loop. The lights on all the major streets are synchronized to where you must stop at each one. There too many lights. And it's a small city.

Zachary is great. So is Ascension. I'd go those routes.

If you are working downtown or anywhere North of that, Zachary is a good choice. Only 12 minutes with zero traffic to downtown. Number one school district for like 11 straight years. They even won the last state football championship. Coppermill and Americana are good choices.

If you work in South BR, then Zachary may be a stretch.
