I still remember the image of Duke fans clamoring to get his autograph, almost literally jumping over each other and screaming "Shaq Shaq Shaq Shaq!!!"
LSU has gone to the final four since then, but that team will not be remembered as well as any of Shaq's teams. The man is an icon and his value goes far beyond anything measured in points or trophies.
