Just saw some highlights on sport center. Kinda peaked my interests and wanted to know more about it. I'm pretty sure it's mostly played up north and that the more prestigious schools are really good at it and almost no black people play it but that's as far as my knowledge goes lol.

Plenty of black people play. Lots of SEC schools have teams, just not D1 yet. High school wise, it's huge in Texas and growing throughout the south. Louisiana, Alabama, and Tennessee have well established leagues now.

I started playing when i was 8 years old. We has 3 black kids on our HS team that won states in MD, 1 of them started on attack.

My son plays HS JV, we love it. Record games every weekend.

Myles Jones at Duke, as mentioned, was first pick in the MLL draft and will play for the expansion team in . Atlanta.

He is a man among boys.

Son is a New York Lizards and Hopkins fan.

Check out the LHSLL website for La based HS & youth lacrosse info.

LSU has both a men's & women's club team. Both fairly successful as of the last 4 years.

Many Title IX "experts" claim the SEC will embrace women's lax conference wide within 10 years as a balance to football numbers. Once that catches on, men's lacrosse won't be too far behind as alumni donors will start to influence the addition at the D1 level throughout the Southeast.

Www.laxpower.com is a great nationwide & semi-worldwide look into lacrosse.

Also www.mcla.us will help yu follow LSU MLAX & www.wcla.us will help you with LSU wlax.
They both have social media pages on FB & Twitter.

It's a sport for good athletes who aren't good enough to make it in football or basketball.

I played in college and now help coach a club team on the summer recruiting circuit. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic are definitely still the dominant areas, but the talent elsewhere is getting better. There are HS teams in Richmond, Charlotte, Atlanta, Denver, California, the Midwest etc. that can hang with anybody.
