Rick's a pussy leader. HE should stepped up to take the hit for the team.

It's his arrogance and idiocy that got them into it, more or less.

Re: the poll and comic readers, how closely has the show followed the comics? Hope not too spoilerish or whatever.

The general direction and timeline has been very consistent. The whole CDC thing was exclusive to the show, but that's about it. Some characters are different tropes on the show. Some character deaths have definitely been different, from different deaths to different characters dying at specific points.

Knowing what they know, I don't know how you make the decision to stay in the area. Negan is as much a reason to relocate as any. Go West.

I agree. There's got to be somewhere more isolated where you can start your own community and be hundreds of miles from anyone else.

And WTF happened to that rocket launcher they has earlier? Did it only have the one round? Probably has five but they left it at home.

Pretty sure they had 2. One was used to kill the 1st group of saviors. The 2nd was used to ignite the pond with the fuel to attract/kill the walkers that got into the safe zone.

Because a flare or some other method would have been smart. Yeah waste it on THAT. Idiots. At this point I'd rather see how Neegan & Co. do things. Just slaughter or enslave the Rick group and let them fade.

Negan would just tell him to sit back down or he'd probably kill two of them

From others I've talked to, the show has strayed a lot from the comics in terms of who is alive/dead.

IMO the series has a need for "heroes" to rise and be a part of surviving and trying to rebuild "the new world". Ricks group has battled crossing that line from "good people" to "villains". Even the Saviors girl told Maggie "you aren't the good guys".

That said, Negans group is totally dark and based on enslaving, fear, domination, and brutality. Basically the "playground bullies" of the ZA. How Ricks group overcomes this- the greatest threat they've ever faced- will define them forever. I can't see a series where evil triumphs long term- it's going to be a gripping season 7.

There was an article in yesterday's USA Today's movie section about the show & it quoted the producer extensively. Not a spoiler as it is in the paper and no real details provided, but according to the article, "next season's first show will start off exactly where this one ended". " In the beginning (undefined as to length), it will be very very very dark but not remain so". "I feel we've earned the trust of our viewers & they will understand why we ended the season this way. Rest assured, we do have a plan". Then gets into Negan a bit, his role/personality as the bad guy; opens up the possibility of those who saved Morgan & Carol belonging to another group: all generalities and nothing definite stated. Nothing said about who dies.

They didn't have a flare with them and the situation did not allow for them to run around trying to find one. They did have an RPG, though.

They have changed almost every single death from the comics to either come at a different time or happen to a different person. They left out some completely. They have done a great job, so far, of keeping comic readers mostly in the dark on what will happen. Sure, they've kept the same settings, and some scenes are very similar, but the "who" and the "how" are usually different enough that I almost never feel comfortable predicting what will happen next. The Negan scene was one exception because they do try to keep extremely major events like that in the show.

However, I am almost completely convinced it wouldn't happen to the same person in the show as it did in the comic. Especially now that it's a cliffhanger. If it ends up being the exact same person as in the comic, every single viewer will know who that person is before next season's premiere. It would be extremely anticlimactic at this point. If anything, I think finding out who meets Lucille during Negan's introduction to the comics would only eliminate someone from your speculation. It is possible that the same person gets it in the show, but that would just make this an even more disappointing and pointless cliffhanger. At this point, and after this much backlash, I feel like they have to make it someone else.

Agree with that. I don't think it's the person it is in the comics. I don't think they follow that same plot line

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Kirkman said the show will take a big left turn regarding Negan's kill so it makes me think it's going to be Daryl since he isn't in the comics
