He will make that program even worse that it is now. He has the personality of a sloth. He will flop as a recruiter.

I don't think hes a head coach, really. He doesn't like to recruit and he can't deal with the media.

Can it get much worse there? He should improve the defense though.

honestly, i think he is a terrible hire. when i thought he knew something about defense then i thought he would be ok but now no way he turns it around, unless that weak arse shite works out of the SEC.

I dunno about that. Missouri and Kansas run the spread and Hawkins will probably run it at Colorado when he gets the right personnel.

They'll go 7-5 next year, just enough to fool a few people. I don't think he's HC material, but we'll see. I'll be pulling against him.

IF he comes and i say if, our defence should be vastly better coached than it has been. As long as competant offensive coaches are used we should at least be respectable.

THAT would be an improvement as well!!

Joe Ganz is legitimate, and the offense can score points. The only repair Nebraska needs is a complete revamp of their approach to defense (which is half of the game of football). Pelini can have a solid season next year, but it's going to take a lot of effort from every level of the program to re-establish a once proud tradition. He's going to need solid assistants. He's going to need solid administrative and fan support (something Callahan never really had). Then, he needs everyone to be patient because building a contender doesn't happen overnight in football.

Not unless he can get some coordinators that are good at recruiting. All we heard of him is that he hates recruiting, now he is the main guy who needs to convince kids?

Yes he'll turn it around ..he'll have the defense in the top 15 if not top 10 and they'll win 8 games. Osbourne will make sure the staff is full of great recruiters - and people will recall that head coaches do not go out and recruit like assistants.
