Yours looks repairable because it's mainly weeds. 2, 4D should kill a ton of that.
I can't get rid of this shite. Anything I've found that kills it also kills my good grass.
The last pic is from a few weeks ago just to show how much of it is in my yard. The other side is just as bad

I have(had) some of that too. The only thing I have found that gets rid of it is to pull it up by hand for small spots or dig it up with a shovel and re-sod the area for large spots.

That looks like dallisgrass, or possibly Vasey grass, to me. Would need to see a seed head to be sure.

Dallis grass, baw. I spot sprayed some of mine with roundup, we'll see if she comes back. There are some products that kill it though, metribuzin is one but I'm not sure if that's safe on your turf grass.
