They've got two favorites in Oklahoma and Kansas. If one of them go down early, I'd laugh, but seems a bit premature at this point.

I think hearing how great you are all year is a huge psychological disadvantage come postseason time. It's happened with the SEC West recently too.

Pac 12 went 2-5...

Big 10 had MSU and Purdue lose.

It's definitely way too early to make calls about a conference as a whole.

I just remain unconvinced that these conferences are sooooo much better than the SEC that they deserve 4 more teams in the tournament each.

eta: Also how the frick can no one win that conference besides Kansas the last 12 years

It really wasn't. Florida throttled this WVU team during the season. Bama beat ND and WSU, plus they had the 1 seed Oregon on the ropes. SC had a weak OOC schedule, but is easily a better basketball team than some of these teams that have gotten in.

The biggest problem with the SEC is that there are a few of us who play crappy non-conference schedules. And then our OOC RPI's were also pretty bad.

Non-conference SOS:

Mizzou 160
Mississippi St 195
LSU 206
South Carolina 300
Ole Miss 305

The two teams who schedule poorly OOC in the Big 12 were the two worst teams.

I think the mid-majors really got screwed though.

Yeah, they're still better in terms of number of teams knocked out.

However, they're pretty even with the PAC12 in terms of highly seeded teams being upset and still have Texas on deck.
