Congrats to hogs if true. I've been saying I'd like tubbs to come to LSU, but if he wants to go home there's nothing wrong with that. Hopefully this vindicates some of us as well who've been saying this had a very strong chance of happening.

Tubby CAN field a competitive team and will get more talent. The thing that must be remembered is that the kids Arkansas is losing are leaving because they don't want to stay in state.

Let's see what happens because I really don't see him doing a lot better than Nutt. He will be somewhat more consistent but will have Arkansas in the SEC Champ about as much as Nutt has. Money is not everything and many players just don't want to play for the HOGS regardless of who the coach is.

Arkansas has perhaps the most gorgeous stadium in the SEC.
Arkansas is backed by an entire state...there is no other program for the natives. You are or you are are not.
Although not a U of A grad, Tubby's from a small, small town in Central Ark and as we have seen, roots are stronger than blood, money, or success.
Tubby is an outstanding recruiter and he'll likely get every 4 star that Arkansas has to offer. Combine that with your contacts in Alabama, Atlanta area, Texas, the panhandle, and a shot a competing with GASP...US! I think any talk of Arkansas competing for a national title wouldn't be bogus at all if he got off on the right foot up there.
Auburn's going to be sick about this if it's true. And they'll throw the bank at some MAJOR coaching name.
