The mystery of the "M" cave supposedly found by a hiker in the Nevada deserts

Story is a year old, but I searched as hard as I could to see if it was posted here and couldn't find anything. This freaked me out a bit:
It gets weirder.
He went to visit the cave again and it was not there. Here is his fairly long (20 min) LINK youtube video which shows him unable to find the cave in the exact spot where he had found it before, supposedly.
That was his last filmed hiking video.
He disappeared after going back a third time.
rescuers found his cell phone nine miles away from where his final youtube vid was shot

The search continues for a 47-year-old hiking enthusiast who disappeared somewhere in the deserts of Nevada. While the Sheep Mountain area has been known to take the lives of even experienced hikers, the missing person's case of Kenny Veach is particularly peculiar. The self-proclaimed "adventurer" sought after a mysterious cave he said once evoked a strange, possibly supernatural occurrence within him.

Before his disappearance, Kenny Veach commented on a YouTube video claiming to have found a cave around Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada. He was curious about the cave's abnormal shape. When he investigated further, something frightening began happening to his body.

Egged on by other YouTube commentators, Veach vowed to return to the cave, this time bringing a camera to document his trip. He was so effected by what he experienced there that he felt he also needed to bring a more reliable weapon.

Curious why he didn't video this cave the first time he found it?

I want you to know that I do not think Kenny had an accident. I believe he committed suicide. He battled depression for many years and would not take medication or see a doctor.

Person finds cave, then gets lost trying to find it again. Moral, do not go hiking without a GPS or compass.

He was taking videos to be posted to YouTube. He probably had a smartphone with GPS.

GPS, compass, CELL PHONE, and fully charged sat. phone with a solar cell backup.
If you're going remote caving alone, bring all 4. Period.
And a damn handgun.

His girlfriend said he likely ditched his phone so he couldn't be tracked, and that he could hike miles in a short amount of time.
