You have to know they use laser and radar on the Causeway right? Congratulations on paying the idiot tax.

Yeah, because lying about getting a speeding ticket is such a thrilling way to troll people.

I thought that 20 over was reckless driving and they can take you in.

Have you tried calling the number on the ticket to find out?

I have a court date. Apparently when you go 25 over you can't just pay the ticket and are obligated to appear in court.

25 over is the minimum required for them to take your license and take you to jail. Since you're posting on TD, you must've gotten off easy.

It's 20 over, iirc, and they rarely enforce that simply for speeding. I've had multiple tickets for 20 over the speed limit. Never been a big deal.

The ticket will be around $300, maybe more or less depending on your record.

Whys everyone acting like 90mph is fast? 4 cylinder Ford Rangers can hit that speed.

That ticket will probably be $500+ easily

PS I got a ticket about 6 months ago on causeway (st tammany) 76 or 78 mph I forgot exactly and it cost about $380 with court costs etc.

Of all places, why the frick are you speeding on the causeway? You may as well write your own ticket if you do that

its about location of said speeding, someone that idiotic to do 90 on causeway shouldn't be operating motor vehicles.

Fair enough, I wasn't discussing it being on the causeway specifically, so my apology.

My little brother did 140 mph last week between the humps.

You can speed on the causeway. You just have to know where.

they write tickets off of vehicles getting from point A to point B. it's a matter of time before he's caught. They time from the air.

You can definitely speed on the Causeway but it's just not the place for it. 90mph isn't that big of a deal but 90mph on the Causeway is just stupid.

frick YOU. My fiancé and family drive that every day. There is no room for error on the causeway. Why don't you just leave earlier to get to your destination instead of putting other people's life at risk? There is a reason for the speed limit on that bridge.
