This doesn't mean he has been in hiding.
Just the legal way of arrest and transfer between jurisdictions/parishes.

First thing of note is headline is misleading. He is a DISTRICT fire chief, a position easily attained in a small department by age of 35
Second thing of note is people are asking about background check. He has been their department since 2001. Don't pull off your shoes to count on your toes - thats 15 years ago. Background checks aren't done after someone is hired. How much you want to bet he has only been wanted since 2001?
Third thing of note is he is wanted in another jurisdiction. A.P.S.O. and G.P.D. would have no way of knowing this without a request from that other jurisdiction.

I kind of get what that he was likely joking about. I do feel a sense of "Damn that must suck" when someone is sick like this whether it's a serial killer who can't quit or some kiddie porn collector.
They didn't WANT to be turned on by that shite. They are just broken frickin humans. And they should be removed from society via execution or castration(something to eliminate their sexual desires).
But there's definitely a feeling of
"I'm sure glad my fetishes and turn-ons are legal even if I'm a nasty fricker."

I went to school with this guy, he's a few years younger than me. He's been involved in the Fire Department for a very long time if I recall.

Both would be correct. He was doing what comes naturally to him. Society dictates what is socially acceptable within the myriad of desires. I hate what he was doing just as much as you do but in my 68 yrs. of existence I've come to understand the malfunctions in the brain and how some people just can't help themselves. Thankfully, mine aren't illegal.
This guy has a mental problem he couldn't or wouldn't control causing him to commit a crime. Now the sick fuuk needs to do the time.
