My list and real chance of getting him

1. Tedford.....California is nice but he's in coaching to win; that won't happen at Cal. Excellent chance
2. Spurrier.....He's not satisfied with a number of things at S.C. but he's not so dissatisfied to move. Little chance
3. DelRio.......Connections to Louisiana are very strong and he's only 1, or 2, seasons away from being in the NFL unemployment line. Excellent
4. Saban........Yes, he has baggage and moving again would normally bring sharp criticism from the talking heads, but that wouldn't be the case if he bolted for LSU. Why? It is well known that he considered the Miami move as a mistake and sorry he left LSU. If he did return, he would regain some credibility, especially if it was for less money. 50/50 chance
5. Chow........LSU will not get a coach with no head coaching experience; the risk of failure is high and the reward not so great; the Richts of the world are far and few. No chance
6. Leavitt.....Has done a remarkable job at USF and will only get better. Why would he want to leave a program that he single handedly built? He doesn't. No Chance

Tedford's not leaving Cal., unless there's someway his wife, who by the way, makes more $$ than him is willing to leave.

7. Brian Kelly, Cincinnatti. Why is no one mentioning this guy?

Aren't Del Rio's ties to USC stronger that LSU? He had his chance and did not take it. I have moved on from him.

that's the stupidest shite i've heard today -- he was #2 in the nation earlier and it would be no shock to anyone in the country for cal to assemble enough talent to win a championship

I've asked before but again...

Well, Tedford is getting frustrated by all the holdups in trying to update the facilities there. There are many, many problems with their stadium, which sits right on top of the Hayward Fault and it is causing the stadium to split down the middle. The tree-huggers keep fighting the building of any new complexes and this is becoming a long, drawn out series of court battles. I don't know if he would come to LSU but I do expect he will possibly leave Cal in the near future.

How is it so well known on this board that Saban regrets leaving LSU? The last thing I heard, he was complaining about all of the Cajuns...
