Here is Ed Daniels' piece on the issue. He asks some pertinent questions.

When public and private were in same divisions, how do they decide where private go?

Here in Missouri, they do a multiplier with Private student population, and then are put into the class they will compete at.

All private schools were like population X 1.35

The only multiplier I am aware of is 2x for a single gender school.

A source said it was not out of the realm of possibility that the Legislature could somehow take the voting out of the hands of LHSAA principals.

i hope so, it's an unfair process... maybe we should just split into 7 schools just because with the same number of kids we have now... we'd have 7x the power

Here is Ed Daniels' shameless conflict of interest:

LINK

Ed is the creator of Friday Night Football, one of the premier high school football shows in the nation. He and JT Curtis will mark 24 years as co-hosts in the 2015 season.

I have a pertinent question: why is JT Curtis using his state representative and longtime television co-host to wage a P.R. war so that Baton Rouge can legislate John Curtis' next state championship in the middle of the state's biggest budget crisis ever?

And yet Jane Griffin is the bad guy here........

that's why i trust Ed and J.T. on this issue... they've been around and know their stuff...

you don't know if J.T. called Talbot or not... it could have been any school calling any legislator... and besides J.T. hasn't won in the top division yet

Jane Griffin and Norman Booker drove this. It did not have to happen.
