This is getting out of hand.

"Email correspondence sent out from Hodges, Griffin and Booker regarding the split only go to the public schools members of their districts and not the private schools. The majority of the schools in the districts Hodges represents have voted against the split twice."

Always wondered why it seemed more New Orleans kids got looks than players elsewhere in the state. I don't think the NO kids are undeserving in any way, but with as much talent in the state it wuld be nice to see some more guys get attention from recruiters.

"The Vols challenged the vaunted group of cornerbacks more than any other team Florida has faced thus far. In the first three weeks of the season Tabor, Quincy Wilson and Duke Dawson had been targeted nine times in pass coverage and had given up zero receptions. Against Tennessee, they were targeted 17 times and gave up 10 receptions for 227 yards. Surprisingly, the Vols went at Tabor in particular, targeting him nine times."

There's some pretty good stats in this for those looking to get an idea of the defenses. Ain't gonna matter much if they're playing in a hurricane tho

LHSAA voting data

From the june 8th vote LINK
Was a great event for the high school athletes in the area, and Brees shared a lot of wisdom about what has gotten him to this point in his career. Cool for the kids.

Not sure about what all this means, but probably not good regardless. LINK
This is actually pretty big news. Breaux Bridge is one of the better producer's of talent in the Lafayette area. Could end up being a big time move for someone

Haha thats what I was thinking too

Pretty funny to see just how divided the state is between north and south looking at this mpa fromt he lhsaa votes friday

That defense only gave up like 10 points per game or something stupid last season without a five-star prospect

Split: In or out?

Posted by saintswillwinagain10 on 1/28/16 at 9:09 am
So if I'm understanding this correctly, the split is definitely back on for this season, but could be changed Friday at a vote, right?

Also, have you ever seen an organization go against its legal advice and do something?

Obviously it's all about football right now, but this guy is one of the Tigers biggest basketball targets for next season.

Looks like one of the best 2017 prospects in the state will get to play again. Have to think the LHSAA isn't too pleased with everything that has happened this week.

Don't think they can vote to keep it, would only be able to vote to bring it back next year. But trying to figure out how the LHSAA works is impossible.

No more LHSAA split

Not necessarily recruiting related per se, but this would be a huge change in LA HS football if this does indeed happen with no more public private split or anything like that

20 is Jalen Johnson and yeah I've been pretty impressed with him.
I agree with you there. Just kind of in between a 3 and a 4. He looked like he had a good stroke, just don't know if he'll get the reps on the outside. Don't think he's a bad player by any means, but it'll be awhile before he makes impact at the college level.
Was more impressed with Jalen Johnson than Sims when I saw them. Don't think sims is a bad player, but is a tweener and I question if he has the mentality for it.
Looks like LSU is taking a look at this kid. Watched him for the first time against Ellender the other night and he looks legit. Could be a really nice piece for the Tigers in a couple of years.

"Both Greg Williams and Jacob LeDoux chipped in 18 points on efficient shooting nights, with Williams relentlessly attacking the rim and scoring nine points at the free throw line.

Williams continued to make highlight-worthy plays for the Knights, taking a steal in the first half (he finished with four steals) and hammering down a dunk to get the packed house onto their feet."

Looks like he always wanted to be a Tiger in the back of his mind. LINK
