LSU quickly falls to an 11 seed in Joe Lunardi's updated bracketology.

Anyone that paid attention to what he was saying would understand. He had them as a 7 seed because they were "first in the SEC". That was the big draw on their resume. Start falling in the SEC rankings and now the entire body of work comes into play and that part ain't good.

losing to a team that you are probably going to be battling out for a spot in the tournament really hurts...better to beat bama and lose to arky

I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance

Tigerbait should be here shortly to laugh at everyone and say we are comfortably in. That guy has been some kind of delusional

I would take that seed and opponent format in a heartbeat. God people the world isn't ending because we played one of the hottest 2 teams in the conference and lost last night. What happened to the 13-5 gets us in crew. 5 games left, try to enjoy the rest of the season

The good news is that, Camp's Bracket still has us in. However, if we lose one of the next two we are definitely on the outside looking in without many games left.

We are doomed. This loss last night is devastating. We basically have to win out until Kentucky. Do that and we have a shot. But drop on of these two road games coming up and it may be the end of our run.

I could see LSU barely sneak in at 12-6, like a coin flip shot at making it. 13-5 we'll be in

Last night was a very bad loss.
The next two road games will be tough as will Florida. Mizzou is a likely win and Kentucky is a likely loss.
Just looking at raw numbers, from 2009-2015, no "Power Conference" team has won an at-large birth with more than 14 losses. We have 10 with likely 2 more (Kentucky, SEC Tournament) at least.
Of Power Conference, at large teams with 12-14 losses, the worst RPI was 64 (Marquette 2011). We're at 81 today.
