I moved to Denver Colorado about a month for work. I have had the chance to hike around Red Rocks and bike in the cherry creek area. Anybody else have any gems to visit? planning day hike at golden gate state park this week! any advice helps!

Go to Pike's Peak and try and stay outside at the summit for longer than 10 minutes

Go over to Fairplay and Alma to check out the gemstone mines. Royal Gorge is interesting, also. Buena Vista area is the "tropics" of the Rockies. And if you're real adventurous, drive a 4WD F-150 to as close as you can get to the summit of Mt. Antero. We did, but I was much younger and a whole lot dumber back then! Beautiful country there in the Colorado Rockies. So much to see and do.

San Juans are the most beautiful part of the State IMO.

I'm up there almost every summer for a week or so. Hike Quandary Peak, its the easiest 14-er. Also tarmagan mountain trail has one AWSOME view at the top: Collegiate, , 10 Mile range, and Rocky Mt NP can all be seen from the peak.
Also, drink all the cool beer they have there

All great advice so far and i will definitely be looking into each one. I've heard people talk about pikes peak and garden of the gods. I'm assuming it's too cold/snow issues. The pot is as amazing as the scenery. I'm not a huge smoker so it is nice being able to run to the store to get my occasional indulgence
