I'd say about a 5 year deal worth 2 mil/year is reasonable

I'd love to have Spurrier and I believe the players would too. LSU, as a top program now, I'm sure is viewed by the top recruits as a way to the NFL. People like Spurrier and Saban are viewed that way as well by top recruits. To some extent, even Miles is beginning to be viewed that way.
Anyway, for those who doubt Spurrier or think he is through just think of this way. Suppose he leaves South Carolina and goes back to Florida, or Georgia, or Bama. I'll bet we'd fear the heck out of him for the last 3 or 4 year run of his career.

For those who say Spurrier is too old, Bobby Bowden won his first NC when he was 64 and his second when he was 70.

If you honestly think that Coach Miles laffs and puts up with mistakes, you have not talked to many players. The coach we see on the sidelines is not the coach the players get at practice. All should agree that, reputation wise, Saban was the most intense, get- on -a- player's- arse coach LSU has seen in a while. Chris Jackson, former kicker, put it this way in an article in The Advocate: Coach Saban was very intense, but he made his criticisms almost personal in nature. Coach Miles gets as intense, he just expresses himself differently. But, the message is the same and players get it.

I would agree with that. I think that is has been a pretty consistent theme fork the players

Spurrier is the ONLY person I want besides keeping Miles...as long as our offense opens up and Pelini peaces the frick out!!

If this is the case, then why the repeated mistakes?

How many hours would Perriloux last if Spurrier were here? Wouldn't be a matter of months or weeks. Can you see RP playing quarterback for Steve Spurrier with his background and lack of discipline?.........

the most important question about Spurrier to LSU is what would he call his offense? He's had the Fun n Gun, the Cock n Fire, etc.

RP would be in for a tough ride

Spurrier is twice the coach Saban is. But his last few years at Florida, his recruiting sucked. Don't know if it was age or if he just grew tired of it. But Zook didn't inherit a cupboard full.

There was once when Jackson screwed up, Saban got in his face like a pitbull. Jackson just kept walking right by him to the bench. Saban followed just barking like a mad dog. Jackson didn't look scared at all. Just had a look like WTF?!?

Spurrier would just tell Perriloux that your here just till I can get Lee up to speed then your college career at LSU will be history and you can Aunta Momma you arse right out of the program.
