Bruno Mars is a good performer, but he was the worst lip syncer of them all.

It would be great to have a band like Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters do the halftime show, but I think both of them would demand that they actually sing, which I don't think they can do during a SB.

I think they'll tap Underwood to do it next year, deep in the heart of Country music, has the Mass Appeal they are looking for, has the NFL connection with doing the SNF theme

This one was pretty entertaining, like most of them are. What do people expect?

Or maybe racists good ole boys and girls don't like them black folks dancing and grooving. Play some country baw!

Yes, Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters would be awesome. 30-50 something year old guys is who watches the Super Bowl, why wouldn't you cater to that audience?

For the record, I'd watch Timberlake too. Damn good performer.

Timberlake's catalog is really deep. Problem is, do they really want him to go back to the scene of the crime?

The halftime show is not catered towards that demographic. It's for the casual fan,

Pearl Jam will never happen. The Foo Fighters could have happen a few years ago.

Was I the only one who thought Bruno lip-synced last night?

Adele should have been picked.

Let's get John Mayer/Gary Clark Jr then throw in an older band or artists, perhaps a Eric Clapton, then you get a younger pop artist thrown in too. Rihanna, T swift?

I still think Timberlake would destroy but it'll never happen probably

They will watch the actual super bowl regardless of the halftime show. The halftime show is geared towards people who wouldn't normally care about a football game.

It wasn't nearly as bad as the Black Eyed Peas. That was a low point.
I wasn't that crazy about it. I think Coldplay are wusses, Beyonce and Bruno Mars are OK, but not really my thing. But I'm a 44 year old white guy. I'm watching the Super Bowl no matter what. That halftime show is aimed at 25-35 year old women who don't give a shite about football. Yeah, I would love to see AC/DC do a 15 minutes greatest hits medley, but that ain't gonna happen.

And here is a guy that's obviously not in marketing.

30-50 old guy is already watching. The reason pop acts play the halftime show is to attract women and a younger demographic.

Halftime shows are much the same as line dancing : just an opportunity for the guys to go piss and grab another beer.

And next year in Houston, there is only one correct choice for the halftime show :

That was part of the show? Damn must have looked away when the back up dancers broke away from script and held that sign up on international television.
