The assholes at Endymion Extravaganza last night were hurling that shite into the crowd like Roger Clemens.

You should have added some beads to the bag to make it exactly 30 pounds.

Agree, if you throw a bead at a flot, you risk going to jail, but this shite here was too much. Though throw a rebel flag bead and they will stop the float over it, throw 30 pounds in a bag and people think you are a troll for saying it's too much. I saw the bag thrown, it was thrown AT the lady, while she wasn't even looking at the person throwing it. I thought it was going to be stuffed animals or something. When grabbing it took me off my balance, I knew it was way too much to throw.

Whatever, this is the OT, have to expect these responses.

How could they even lift that?
The guy on the float simply bent down and hefted it into the air. Didn't look or anything.

If it had hit a kid, they could've died.

I once threw a 10lb bowing bowl off a float (fwiw..Hermes) at some chick that was flinging cheap beads back at me. I couldnt get close to hitting her so trying to get us to believe that someone was accurate enough to tag someone with anything that weighs 3 times as much as my bowling ball is not believable at all.

Oh, I'm fine, just wanted to share it here. Lol.

I ended up with beads, and no one got hurt, thankfully. Just saying people need to not throw full bead bags off the top deck of a float into a jam packed crowd.

Though that's not even my biggest gripe. My biggest gripe is all the assholes who put out 15x30 tarps and then had less than 10 people in their crew, when we had thirty people in a third of that space, and still let the kids behind us in front and moved our stuff to give others more room, meanwhile next to us looked like this.

so you are saying, you could not hit someone in the front row against a barricade with something? I mean, it's a straight down drop, you know how close the floats go to the neutral ground on Orleans before they turn on Carrolton.

Mardi Gras is nothing but pussies now. You wouldn't make it twenty minutes at the crew of bowling and concrete rubble.

Just move the tarp and set up your stuff. If there are ropes/tape, cut it down. None of it is legal anyway, not a thing those poors can do.

While I understand you are upset, keep in mind it may not have been done in a mean spirited manner. Not trying to condone but just food for thought.

Also, I ride in Endymion and while our names are indeed on the bags it is very common for other riders to take your bag as the floats are literally packed to the gills. Food for thought

Dude it was a 28 pound bag of beads tossed into a crowd, with pretty much no one looking because they guy below was tossing light u necklaces. No reason to toss a full bag like that, much worse than lobbing coconuts. I have met Ed a few times, and plan to send him a letter on the matter. I'm sure throwing such weight like that is against some club rule.

It's Mardi Gras don't go if you don't want to get hit with beads. Jesus Christ people are pussies. I bet Ed will really care about that letter that you wrote him.
