LINK

In addition to the Osborne's Lights, other iconic attractions like Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and the Earful Tower will be closing to make way for Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land. I don't know why they didn't just close sections at a time instead of all at once. There is no way they can justify a full price ticket for what that park now offers. I'm shocked the Indiana Jones show survived as it is in need of a make-over.

The movie studio park has been mediocre for quite awhile. I skip it every time.

We just got back. We did a half day, then went back one day. It's worth it for Toy Story (make sure you have a fast pass, we got there at noon and it had a 2 hour wait), Tower of Terror, and Rock N Roller Coaster.

They're permanently removing the Osborne lights? Or is it a temporary thing?

Expect more closures. Disney did not spend a billion dollars on Star Wars for nothing. The majority of the park will be Star Tours or something like that. It will take 3 or more years to complete. Generations of fans will be pleased.

Some of those attractions are in the area where the new sections are going to be built.

I was one of the last people on Catastrophe Canyon. Going to miss that, but if the new sections are good, I'll be satisfied.

I figure I'll keep going there every few years till they ban me for running over people in my hover round.

I got one lady last time that stepped in front of me....good times

Really, none of that stuff they're getting rid of was very good except Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Studio Catering was a pretty good place to eat but certainly not irreplaceable. (Disclaimer - I've never seen Osborne's Family Lights so I don't know about that one).

Don't hold your breath for Indy .. It will also get closed, but not until later next year when they start building Star Wars and finish the new park entrance on that side.

Toy story shouldn't take long to build.. most of the rides are new lay overs from the Cars area in Disneyland. They are already working on that area. Should open late 2017 if everything goes as planned.

The biggest question is what are they going to put in the Lights Motor Action area. This area has not been announced yet.. Rumors are it will be a full Pixar area with a Monsters Inc roller coaster that will mimic the door scene at the end of the movie.

Spent a half day there last year and went back to MK. Just not a TON of stuff to do there with small kids.

Star Wars and Toy Story Mania FTW

We went in November and spent a day in each park at Disney. We didn't go to any of these "attractions". There is a reason they are closing them.

As long as rockin rollercoaster and tower of terror are still there, i'm good.
