How hard did this episode hit home for you guys? The dinner discussion with percentages and wedding vow scene were so damn spot on.

Aziz definitely seems to have his finger on the pulse of millenials.

Brutal.
Aziz knocked it pit the park with the show

It was so true
In Louisiana the age of settling is probably closer to 24 than 30.

Honestly...I can't really remember the finale. I kind of felt like the show was overrated and most of the acting was bad. The only episode I genuinely liked was the one with the parents flashbacks.

That's not to say that it doesn't work out for some people. I have a handful of friends who have healthy serious relationships or marriages. But that takes work and isn't a "flip of a switch" type of commitment.

I don't think I have ever watched a show that connected with me more than the 3rd episode where he meets Rachel for the second time when he's on a bad date. Every bit of that episode hit a mark with me

I had you pegged as mid 30s tbh.
I'm 27 and I've already hit the first couple rounds of divorces and people regretting marriage. For some reason, I was so damn worried about marrying and age, but seeing all the pain/heartbreak/financial disasters that happened is so telling.

I just turned 24 and this show made me re-evaluate my whole life and what I wanted out of it

that episode and the episode where they are living together hit home. The fighting over stupid stuff is so spot on.

Louisiana is definitely odd, I'm 29 and sometimes you get odd looks for not being married yet.

28 here and I get this. People actually consider you immature and irresponsible simply for not being married at this age.

The acting was absolutely horrible, but the show was so honest and relatable that it didn't matter. It was such an amazing show. His parents bad acting actually made it better imo.

Hell, my wife and I dated all through college, and people constantly asked us why we were waiting until we graduated to get married.

I had a friend get engaged after 10 months of dating and is having a long engagement. I constantly ask him why he's in such a rush (his wife is about to graduate dental school, but she's going to residency somewhere and he has no idea where)? He said "I'm just ready for a family." I remind him, in 3 months he will be married, but he has no idea where she or he will be in 4 months so then what? He says he will just move wherever she goes...but what will he do for a job? His response: "I'll figure it out." So you figure it out after marriage. I don't get it. I simply do not get it.
People are just in such a rush. I would never marry anyone to just get married and start a family. It makes no sense. I feel like no one nowadays understands the trials and tribulations of marriage.
Basically, this show is awesome and Aziz hit home hard with lots of stuff. The biggest thing to me was him leaving to go to pasta school. May seem stupid to some, but he constantly talks about loving pasta and he goes and chases his dream. That's something I constantly battle with
