Damn. What did he do? I looked online and didn't see an arrest record for him.

If he is it happened in the past two years because I met him at a festival in Lacombe a couple years ago.

Best team in the state in the late 90's was LHS 97-98:
Ransom White
Ransom Wilkins
Art Williams
Duntravis Phillips
Seth Dupre
Trev Faulk (yes, that Trev)
Bench:
Ricky Calais
GW Rudick
Ryan Watson
Trev, Ricky, & GW went on to play D1 football. Guess how physical that bball defense was...
There were #1 for a bit. But severely mismanaged by Coach Dwayne Searle who what some would call "a bit of a drinker..."
We had the roudiest & largest student section as well. We put on a show almost as great as the guys on the court. So many dunks, alley oops, & chants/taunting!

That Rayne team was pretty good. Harmon plus Byron Mouton, and a couple other guys. If i remember correctly they had a 6'9 center also.
I played on same team as Tierre, and he was fantastic. He wasnt as athletic as some of those other guys mentioned but no one could ever hold him under 20. He was just so smooth with the ball. And those Rayne teams still beat us by 40 each game.

Kedrick Brown and Jamar McKnight from Zachary.

please stop....with the Lafayette High basketball team in 1997-98 being the best in the State. Southern Lab, Peabody, Arcadia, White Castle, Grambling, Parkview Baptist, etc. etc. etc. would have run circles against that lafayette team. Disgrace to even compare...

You should at least win your district if you want to be called the best team in the state. LHS didn't even do that in 97-98.

Fair Park with Stromile and Reggie Robinson are hands down the best I ever saw or played against. Granted, we (Captain Shreve) had the only white starting 5 in District 1-5A, but it was a Harlem Globetrotters show when we played them. Pretty sure they won state at least once.

they were very good and won back-to-back. But, in the 2003 season, Freshman DJ Augustine had them beat until he was fouled out in the 4th quarter.
I remember BM beating LSU great, Taz Mitchell, in the semis that year. It was a huge upset. Future Michigan O-lineman and Center for BM, Adam Krause, shut Taz down in that game.

Played at St. Thomas More from 96-99 and LHS never came close to beating us. Sorry bro. Played AAU for the Aces with most of that LHS team. Saw Ransom Wilkins get in a fight with some kid while on the bench during a summer league game. He tried to use a broken chair as a weapon.

Todd Briley from Midland.
Saw him drop 50 multiple nights and they'd beat those great Rayne teams with Harmon and Mouton at their big Holiday tourney the Midland Spectacular

We lost to Briley and Midland by 5 in a tune up playoff game my freshman year. I fouled out in the middle of the 4th guarding him. I finished with 15 points he finished with 30. He could play.

Andre Brown from Vandebilt Catholic was a stud in the early 90's. Went to Seton Hall when PJ Carlesmio was there.

Where'd you play ball at basiletiger? Basile?

I thought Dean went to Ruston, maybe there was a stud there? Seem to remember a terrific leaper for the Bearcats.

Kedick Brown Zachary high 97-99. Went to Okaloosa Juco was supposed to play for Brady at LSU but was the 10th pick in the draft. He was a 6th man for Celtics and backed up LeBron his rookie year. Kedrick and Jamar McKnight had Zachary ranked #1 most of the year in 98 but got upset by Chris Duhon and Salmen in the quarterfinals.

Correct. And that team got beat in the 1st round of the Top 28.
Like I said earlier, the coaching just wasn't there at that time. But the talent was simply unreal.

Yea Clarence "Mo" was a beast. South Lafourche destroyed Duhon and Salmen in the semis 98 and won state that year. Then lost in the finals to Glen Oaks in 99.
