What caught our attention is how the Wounded Warrior Project spends donations compared to other long-respected charities.

For example, Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust spends 96 percent of its budget on vets. Fisher House devotes 91 percent. But according to public records reported by "Charity Navigator," the Wounded Warrior Project spends 60 percent on vets.

I hear they are anti-gun as well. There are better charities for wounded vets out there, they just don't have the publicity as WWP.

This is very old news but is depressing for people who have supported the "charity" before I knew. Satan has spot reserved for them in hell.

I thought this was common knowledge. We researched them like a year or so ago for consideration as one of our main charities to support. After we saw how little of the money they take in actually goes to wounded vets, we passed.

What's absurd is that these charities are even needed.

The government should be taking care of these guys. Why does the public need to donate money to care for guys that were injured in a war we already picked up the bill on as tax payers.

Our government is disgusting.

If you want to donate money that will go to help wounded veterans I suggest Disposable Heroes Project. It's run by a veteran out of Hammond, LA (the guy who owns Hammond Crossfit) and I've been told that they don't take any salaries or anything from the charity. All proceeds go back to helping veterans.

Red Cross takes around 94 % of its donations and doesn't use it for what it was intended

No worse than how PP spends their money on lavish parties.
