If they were living more modestly, I would say sacrifice.
For the ones you mention, they are either in debt over their eyeballs, or paying with family money. Baton Rouge has a metric ton of old money.

Not in Baton Rouge but in Houston.
We've decided to pay for the extra expense of private school versus college. One or more may not want to go to college, at least this way a solid foundation was built.
