Upward Trend

I have faith that next year Brandon will improve and this team will have a phenomenal year.

Sorry if German!

bullshite. College football was DOMINATED by first year Sophomore starters last year. You don't know wtf you're talking about.

Really good breakdown, Harris is right in line with what underclassmen SEC QBs have been doing.

I've said it many times before but a big time QB this year in Brandon Allen had MUCH WORSE numbers than Harris did a s sophomore and his junior numbers were merely in line with Harris' sophomore numbers.

Here's another fun fact:
Dak Prescott's sophomore year passer rating (first year starting) was 126.58; Brandon Harris' this year? 130.49...and Dak was a 3rd year sophomore, he had the benefit of a redshirt his true freshman year

Moral of the story: Guys can struggle when they're young at QB in the SEC; but over time do this magical thing called IMPROVE with experience.

I'd like to see those stats of sophomore qb's that had one of the leading rushers in the nation.

Most young starters are thrown into the role and Fed to the wolves. Harris's struggles were with the leading rusher and 8 in the box. Which makes it some really simple reads.
Absolutely I think he improves.

But enough to win championships?.....we will see. He will 've tested early and often by teams stopping the run. And even then, nothing matters till we get in SEC meat of the schedule

What's the deal with thread titles ending in exclamation points?

What may surprise you is that his true sophomore seasons ranks amongst the best in underclassmen QB seasons in the past eight seasons. Harris is basically at the same position Dak Prescott was in as a RS sophomore, and I think we can all agree that turned out alright?

My fav part

How often have we been able to throw to a 5th year Senior at WR (Dural). We know we can throw fades and jumpballs to Dupre. Mix in some screens to LF and DG, hit the TE over the middle here and there, and we will be fine!

Brandon Harris is very likely to be the Starting QB for at least another, maybe 2 years. I would be surprised if he doesn't have a much better year. I just hope we establish the passing game early next year.
