Considering what we have seen on the field recently, it's pretty safe to say that CC is not earning his salary. And now with the embarrassing QB recruiting debacle that has and is taking place currently....is it safe to say that CC is the worst thing that has happened to LSU in recent memory??

Offense--stagnant, predictable, ineffective, failure to evolve

Recruiting--missed on Patterson, Macvittie, Haskins, Russo for 2016 because of his obsession with an overrated Franks; while also jeopardizing our chances with Narcisse in'17

So why is Cam Cameron still here??

In two of his three seasons here, his offenses have averaged over 430 ypg. That has literally never happened before.

Because he and Les see eye-to-eye on how the offense should be run.

ok, I get gaining a lot of yards(especially on the ground) against teams that are totally inferior physically. But what about game against equal talent?

You watch the games just like I do....please tell me you see the difference

I feel like we shoudl give him another chance.

He did great with a 5th year senior, and pretty bad with 2 true sophomores.

I want to see if he can actually develop a QB if we give him an upperclassman.

You don't even know if he's missed on Haskins yet

all that may be true but it is probably best not to be to negative. It's hard to run a better system without a better QB. But then It's hard to recruit a QB when you run the system that we run. So it's kind of circular. Hopefully Harris will develop into a better QB next season and then we will run a more modern system with more spread elements that Harris will thrive in and thus improve the perception of our offense amongst QB recruits. Just a tough spot we are in with Cameron right now,

I don't think it's a question of whether he gets another season. That appears to be a done deal.

His inability to have top QB recruits dying to play for him is more concerning. Really concerned with how poorly this year's QB recruiting appears to be going.

+1 Even if he pulls one out of his arse, he is not a college coach. Recruiting is a basic requirement.

Only completely football ignorant people believe that Cam Cameron is not a good coach. Everywhere he's been he's had top offenses except LSU which makes you wonder whose fault it is. In case that last time is left you in suspense Les Miles is the answer.

He actually has been pretty good, especially compared to the 2 previous offensive coordinators.

We have a run heavy pro style offense. When we had some key blockers go down, we couldn't just switch to a spread. I do agree we need to do a lot better when we run into a team that can stop our run, but we weren't as bad here a you say.

Patterson's brother coaches at Ole Miss. Macvittie, Haskins, and Russo are all from out of state committed to other schools....we are trying to flip them to us and we are still in it with 2 of those guys. Franks is from Florida and flipped to Florida, it sucks but it happens. We lead for Narcisse from what I read.

For context on why thus guy started this thread:

LSU is recruiting a top QB prospect. Ohio State might lead, but LSU feels confident. That QB (Haskins) said he was making a big announcement at 10 am (today). Some on the recruiting board flipped out because they assumed he was committing somewhere (probably OSU), and since he hasn't visited LSU, they figured he would not be coming here. Turns out he had a different announcement, and he was never planning on committing at 10am. Now the same crybabies upset he was going to commit elsewhere are still upset, for some unknown reason. But this is why you have a Cameron thread right sow FYI.

Btw all of my info comes from the recruiting board on TD, not from my own sources.

Is it because it's your assessment that makes it honest or do you normally lie about your opinion?

Just curious
