Scraps with the law: a sympathetic view

It seems like right now it is politically in vogue to call for violently protesting against cops. QT said something in support of killing cops while in NY. He was trying to channel his inner ebony. I wanted to see if there are any accounts of getting on the wrong side of the law and yet experiencing a kinder gentler law enforcement from anyone on here?
I have been arrested 4 times, once as a juve, twice in college with 1 DWI charge and I have always found the cops to be professional and courteous.
My first arrest was a DWI charge in the 8th grade. My file was mysteriously lost. It never stuck. My second arrest was after an Jr yr shorty got me out of bed as a frosh. She took me in her car to the middle of campus and made me get out in the middle of winter with just jeans no shoes and not even a shirt. She had previously took it off me. UPD tried to pick me up while I was walking back to my dorm. I ran, hit some mud, busted my arse and got caught. They told me if I could get someone to pick me up they wouldn't press charges. Third was a public drunk by OPD. I was coming out of a bar and couldn't walk straight. They had a sting operation getting drunks on their way out. Either that or I caused a scene at the bar with some dudes GF and got kicked out of the bar. The details are blurry. They asked who my parents were, I made up a story about my parents getting killed in a plane crash, and begged them to not make me recount it with croc tears. On the arrest certificate it says parents deceased. My last run in was a false charge of DWI in AR. I was asleep in the backseat went the dude I was with drove off the road and hit a telephone pole. The cops asked us who was driving and the dude said nothing. I spoke up and said I was in the back seat asleep. He said me too. They said alright wise guys you're going to jail. We both got lawyers and neither one of us got convicted.
I support Johnny Law and hope to never get on his wrong side again.

except for once, young cop out was a dick and the judge threw it out, a-hole cops are their own worse enemy at times

I recently got a DWI. Wasn't driving, in the vehicle, and the car wasn't running. I was in my bed asleep. Somebody called and said I was drinking and driving (which I wasn't) I had had 4 beers in like as many hours.
frick the piece of shite who called it in and frick the cop for arresting me.

If you just say yes sir and no sir, they write you a ticket and send you on your way or they arrest you for whatever you did and that's it.
If you act like a stupid frick they treat you like one.
This isn't a hard concept.

I have been driving for 47 years and had only experienced one a-hole policeman. He was smart arse from the start and I let him roll with it. I took the speeding ticket and said thanks. Every other encounter has been with professional and polite officers. Of course, Imnever acted like I wanted my arse beat or arrested either. Usually takes two to tango.

Dealt with two Causeway cops yesterday. One was OK, the other, a female, was pretty damn rude.
I continue to be unimpressed with Causeway Police. They seem poorly trained and lack the ability to deal with the public.
