Yeah. Might get gas. Still haven't decided. I cannot fish for 6-8 months as of now per my docs. Sucks being 36 and having a 9+ hour open heart surgery. Hope to be back at it soon though.

I have found that Jon boats at least 48 inches wide across the bottom are very stable.
I have a 1648 with a 25 hp two stroke. It is a very versatile boat for the fishing I do. Which is not in the ocean.

Do you plan on trailering it?
A small flatboat can be a bitch to load into the back of a truck for a person in good condition.
