He's a kicker/ punter from Kentucky. Holds some state records over there as well. Can't seem to find anything on him besides a hudl and maxpreps page. Do we need a kicker or punter? Not scholarship worthy necessarily but maybe tell him he can walk on or get a partial scholarship. Has around a 90 yard punt and roll in this video: www.hudl.com/athlete/2830660/highlights/301193801/v2

Have two top kickers coming in, Culp is a scholarship guy who will probably placekick post Domingue. Rayborn is a top preferred walk on who can punt or kickoff apparently.

Okay, I wasn't sure. I was reading some comments on an ESPN post and some guy was vouching for this kid so I looked him up. Seems decent enough but if we have others coming in than we should be good. Though having another walk on probably doesn't hurt.

Did not know we could give partial scholarships for football players.

I've always wondered about recruiting kickers. They definitely don't get the hype but you can see they are starting to with the UA game and skills challenge. I'm still confused on why 2 "high profile" kickers are signing with FSU this year. Even though I believe one is signing as a punter I just see there's always going to be competition in the kicking game.

Almost all of these kids with offers or preferred walk on status come through the Kicking, Punting, Long Snapping camps... very few reasons to spend the resources in finding non-camp kids, it's more about finding the ones that want to come to you.
Great article in the Atlantic about kickers: Atlantic
"Head coaches generally don't know how to coach them. All-purpose scouts don't know what determines the best ones. And thus, there's something of a subculture necessarily built around kicking."

Can he kick it to the back of the end zone? If not, keep walkin. Seems like every team in the country has a kicker with a consistently stronger leg. LSU needs to spend a week in Brazil.

Clemson probably wins NC if their kicker kicks off into the end zone instead of the 5 yard line

Since competition makes you worse and all.

He hits the end zone score board a few times on kickoff. I mean if nobody wants him, might as well take him for the extra competition.

Who is the punter this year?
