OB spinoff. What is the first off-road vehicle you remember going hunting in?

What off-road vehicle you remember using when you began hunting?
These big reds were the beast of the woods back in the day. (First 3-wheeler with reverse). I can remember being a little tyke and pops driving while I sat on the deer laying on the rack.

Same. As I got older we wore it out. Stripped the axle and it became one wheel drive.

Yep. Mine was a Honda 185 3-wheeler. Then, when we upgraded to the 250 4-wheeler in about 1990, I thought I was driving a Hummer.
Prior to that it was a 1964 Intl Scout 800. I still have it in the barn. Hoping to restore it one day.

Honda 200M
I believe it's a 1983 model. It's my dad's.

An old riding lawnmower. My dad was a big guy and the trails had lots of ruts and steep inclines. Said he rolled enough of them with just him on it. Me and my brother would ride on his lap as far as it would go then walk the rest. Good days!
To this day he swears he invented the four wheeler!

This isn't exactly related, but when I started hunting in the late 80's, we didn't have 3 wheelers. Everyone had trucks except my great uncle. He had a VW bug and that sucker never, and I mean never got stuck. I even remember him pulling trucks out of mud holes.

Yup. At that time it was a mixed bag between people with 3-wheelers and full size vehicles. We also has an '84 Toyota 4x4 that was used when the water got too high. We would pull a bateau behind the truck and the whole club would be in the back of truck or bateau getting dropped off.

Pops had one of these. Would go anywhere when it wasn't tore up. Which was about 14% of the time. Next would be a Honda 185s

We still have an Argo in the barn. Is is perpetually broken. Huge piece of shite.

Those things would be awesome if they worked

They haven't came out with a shaft drive one? All the sprockets and chains are what caused them to be POS's.

bitter/sweet memories
1. Mule. (not the wheeled kind, 4 legged kind). It was the most reliable.
2. Club had a couple Army Jeeps
3. We "graduated" to a VW with tractor tires
4. I bought my 1st CJ jeep
5. I bought my 1st atv in my 20's, was a Honda 90. (Spent more time airing up and patching flat tires than actually riding it)
6. Honda 110. It was a "beast". Lol
7. Went straight to a yammy 200 ER,,,
8. Then, seems like in my early 30's, started getting the cool stuff, like polaris 5 hunnerts.
Dayum,, I might be "seasoning", slightly.

Ya think??
Big red 3 wheeler & a '78 C10 chevy. Both were pawpaws. I remember me and him standing in the bed of that chevy gun in hand waiting for those dogs to push some deer out. Was the good ol days...

It was a yeller one. Getting in reverse was kinda strange, but at the time, it was the "bestest" one, IMO.
Watch it, Sonoma,,, I'm still bad to the bone....
Also, badly seasoned..

The first one I remember was an old 185 3 wheeler. When it ran, it was a beast.
