I remember when that last Paradise records location in Tiger shopping center was Kadairs.

I also remember the short-lived second location on Florida Blvd near the corner of Sherwood. Does anybody remember the New Generation on Staring at Town South shopping center? The old Howard's discount store location?

I worked at the New Generation LSU shop and at Sound Warehouse on both Florida and College. Back when record store culture was not just quaint nostalgia.

A lot of good memories on your list. I wonder if our paths in BTR ever crossed in some of those places

We used to go there all of the time. I remember my Dad would always request Dee to be our waitress. I swear to god I remember vividly her taking our order with a cigarette in her hand. One of the nicest women you'd ever meet...

I bet we know each other. We used to get them from Ford's Pasture as well.

Tinseltown...everyone remember how awesome that place was when it first opened? Sadly, the undesirables took it hostage and won out in the end. There was a shooting there and then it was over basically.

My friend's older brother worked at New Jew by LSU in the 1970's, and used to get tickets to every concert that came to town.

That's pretty much happened to every movie theatre in Baton Rouge, and the shooting you referred to was actually a hit on a woman put out by her husband.

I do . You couldn't call it in PunchBug.

I been meaning to dig up a pic of me in front of the Kleinpeter Milk Store circa 80(was already abandoned) at NW corner of Siegen and Perkins. Walgreen there now.

Yes. Was BR's first stadium seating theater. Was top of the line place. Good memories there.

I was driving to work yesterday and thought . Who remembers early 80s when Siegen at 10 had just the Holiday Inn and the Waffle house? Then later Motel 6, Kmart(was a BIG DEAL to our neighborhood), Siegen Village theater, Mcdonalds, etc.
