Dexter Manley gives us some keen insight on why black quarterbacks are elusive. I find it odd that there aren't pitchforks out ready to crucify him. If Kirk Herbstriet had made this statement it would be front page news across the country.

It's okay he didn't think about what he was saying and he apologized....and he is black!

Rush made a similar, yet less ignorant and flammable, statement and he got canned quick.

Disagree.

I heard what he said and while it was less inflammatory, it was ignorant, crass, and out of place.

Plus, Rush is supposed to be a professional broadcaster and Manley is a numbnuts.

He can spit in your face and draw the 15 when you retaliate, though.

They need to give Dexter Manley and Rob "Cornball Brotha" Parker their own show.

This is also the same guy that called Troy Aikman a queer on the radio and few years ago.

Maybe that is why he always spits on other players? To give them some extra grip when he tries to tackle them and to make them not so slippery.

True, but it won't cost him his career as it would a white dude had he said same thing.

Howard Cosell made a similar comment and you see what happened to him.

So it would be no big deal if Chris Fowler or Terry Bradshaw made the same joke?

No, Cosell's comment was much, much worse.
